Melvina Seamers

         Melvina is  a family owned & operated company for over 75 years.  During

World War II, the company made cans, ammunition boxes and was issued a

 Presidential Directive (extremely high priority) to manufacture tank treads

 for a US Navy amphibious lander.  Machinery was difficult to procure during

WWII and the company’s founder, James G. Cahill, became quite adept at

building new machinery and rebuilding what was available.  As peace time

came, he began to expand the company into the machinery building and

rebuilding company it is today.  We now have both second generation and third

generation Cahills involved in company management.
